Watch: Finally Twitter Vice President speaks about the authenticity of 25.6M ALDUB tweets!

The split-screen couple, Alden Richards and Maine 'Yaya Dub' Mendoza, were commended and praised by various sectors, not just because of their hilarious show but their personalities as well.

The 'kilig' moments on their show, Eat Bulaga'a Kalyeserye, was the reason that the Twitter world went crazy on September 26, when the hashtag #ADubEBFoRLOVE trended and reached 25.6 million of tweets.

This world breaking record, however, were criticize by some haters which doubted the result; to the extent of saying the tweets were manipulated. One of them was the main host of the rival program 'It's Showtime' Vice Ganda.

Recently, The Twitter Asia Pacific and Middle East Vice President Rishi Jaitly has confirmed that the AlDub tweets are authentic.

In an interview with Rappler CEO and executive editor Maria A. Ressa, Jaitly said the tweet volumes are real as he further called the AlDub tandem a global phenomenon.

As disclosed by Rishi, the 25.6M tweets of AlDub is a couple of million short of the record which was set by the Super Bowl XLIX way back in February 2015 which is 28.4M global tweets. Source : danified
